Bridal Photo Shoot

One of the fantastic features of the Skawahlook First Nation Administration building is the great hall.  Ideal for intimate weddings of up to 90 people, our venue is backdropped by a beautiful mountain and forest.  Couples have gotten married here in the past and the events were very successful.  As such, we hope to grow that opportunity and host many more weddings here in the future. In order to let the world know about our beautiful little venue, we needed some marketing quality photographs.  We contacted one of the best wedding photographers in Vancouver, Konstantin Egorov, and he came out to our venue and shot photos all day with 2 models. The particular day that we did the photo shoot it was extremely cold and many of the shots were taken outside.  The poor models were outside in wedding dresses with the cold wind cutting right through them and the images still turned out beautifully...true professionals! The day was a great success and we need to thank a few people. Konstantin Photography - for his amazing photographic skills.  Check out his blog about this photo shoot HERE. Silk & White Satin - for lending us the dresses and jewelry. Quick Pik Flowers - for the amazing bouquets.

Introduction

Tansi!  My name is Mike and I am Cree from the Little Black Bear First Nation in the Treaty #4 territories.  I was hired in late 2013 to be the Economic Developer for Skawahlook First Nation. It is an exciting challenge for me and I look forward to sharing updates from the world of Northwest Coast Art with you right here on this blog. I was most recently the Marketing Manager for Canada's oldest Harley-Davidson dealership, Trev Deeley Motorcycles.  Prior to that I was completing my bachelor's degree in First Nations Studies and Political Science at Simon Fraser University.  I have also been an automotive salesperson and I served for 3 years in the Canadian Armed Forces with 1 P.P.C.L.I.  All of this work and education experience gives me a solid foundation of knowledge that I plan to use to 'move the needle', as they say in the marketing world, for Skawahlook First Nation. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, Susanna and my awesome kids Kaya and Nugget (Kris, but nobody calls him that).  I also enjoy riding my motorcycle and cheering on the //=S=// Saskatchewan Roughriders! Please feel free to follow me on Instgram, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. Tweets by @EagleLooking78 //
